Temecula Spring Portraits
A popular time for those holiday cards is undoubtedly during the fall season. Yet, with recent rains and warmer than normal winter temperatures, the Murrieta and Temecula areas are seeing an early spring! Flowers are blooming in fields and the hills look like we are in Ireland! Read on to decide if a spring portrait session could be perfect for you and your best pal.
One: The Color Palette is More Varied
Sure, you could do a fall or winter session for your holiday cards, but what about the artwork for your home? Colorful imagery can compliment your home's style. This could mean popping against a more neutral palette or complimenting a color scheme you already have in your home. A more vibrant session gives more options with framing choices as well. Wandering Woof Photography offers over 80 frame choices! Color landscapes help make choices easier to narrow down for your prints.
Two: The Lasting Golden Hour
Yep, one of the challenges of a fall portrait session can be how early it gets dark outside. Portrait photographers almost always choose the golden hour (the hour just before sunset) to capture beautiful light without it being too harsh. Well, in the fall, especially after Standard Time in the west, that can be as early as 4pm. Not too convenient for those with certain work schedules. After the time change in the spring, we gain that extra hour and the light is glorious! You can easily get off work at 5pm and head to a 6pm or even 7pm session (in late spring)!
Three: Well, There's Flowers!
There are so many spots in the Temecula Valley to find flowers, whether it be ones growing wild in a field or cultured in a garden. Even a roadside patch is often enough for me to get that gorgeous shot of your pet peeking out from a cluster, made to look as though they are in a vast, blooming field! Again, your home's color scheme can direct where we go for your dog's session. I'm here to guide you on making those color choices. It's my second job: driving all over our valley finding those special spots and pops of color!
