The World of Animal Rescues
You know that saying, "It takes a village"? I’m learning just how much team effort goes into animal rescues, and it’s been eye-opening. It’s not just about showing up and saving an animal—there are so many moving parts and people involved. From the volunteers coordinating logistics, to the vets providing care, to the transport teams and the people fostering, everyone plays a crucial role. Communication, trust, and collaboration are all essential. Seeing how all these efforts come together to help animals in need has given me a new level of respect for the rescue community.

Lovely Cali, not part of these two organizations, but was a rescue, now in a loving home.
Two Animal Rescues
I have had the privilege of offering my services free of charge to two such rescues: Domino Effect Animal Rescue and Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary, both in the Temecula Valley. Domino Effect held it's annual Bingo Night/Silent Auction event at the lovely Morgan Estate this month. I was thrilled to have my basket bid on for a free session and some free pup goodies. This lead to me working side by side to brainstorm ways to continue to help get their rescues adopted. Hope Ranch Animal Sanctuary accepted my offer to give a free session voucher to any dog who was adopted at the Yappy Hour event at Cougar Winery. I met so many lovely people who care deeply about these animals and finding them furever homes.
Photography to the Rescue
Most rescues take photos of their dogs to post online and on flyers. These volunteers are busy and few have the training to take impactful images that show a dog's beauty and dignity. That is where I come in. Mike, a foster dad, reached out to me via Domino Effect Rescue to help capture little Eva. She is a wiggly little thing and he was having a hard time trying to get her to hold still. We wandered on over to a local park. It was the perfect location for a little dog as the drainage rocks make her look larger than life! Eva rocked her session (no pun intended!). Stay tuned for an update when she gets adopted!
Little Eva as dainty as she is sweet!
Eva brave (little) heart!
Every dog can be photographed to captured their personality. Look at how confident Eva is!
It's easy to do a quick session with a foster pet. I'm available for quick 15 minute sessions.

Fostering Fido
Being a dog foster parent takes compassion, patience, and a willingness to open your home and heart to a dog in need. It involves providing a safe, loving environment, helping the dog adjust to life outside a shelter, and sometimes dealing with behavioral or medical issues. Fosters play a key role in socializing dogs and preparing them for adoption, often working closely with rescue organizations. While it can be emotionally challenging to say goodbye, knowing you've helped a dog find their forever home makes it incredibly rewarding.

It's all about your dog and his bond with you!
I'm passionate about photographing dogs because I love the reaction owners have when they see their dog in large print or on a large screen in all their glory! Dogs deserve to be honored just as any member of the family would be. Reach out to find more.
