Your experience with Wandering Woof

We'll wander through beautiful scenery while your dog gets to be a dog.  Some posed, some candid, all the while in safety and fun!

What to expect

A relaxed vibe

We will wander together as I capture the best scenes to illuminate their personality.  My approach is to let your dog get acclimated to the new area first and then using sounds and treats, we will get images you never thought possible.  It comes from calmness.

Gentle guidance

Your dog does not need to be trained.  I edit out leashes and handlers flawlessly.  When it comes to posed images, I use treats and hand signals to guide them into poses, using a calm voice and gentle handling.

Natural, timeless photos

Not all the images will be posing your dog.  We will also capture the little things, like the curly tail, the sweet little paw and the wandering pose-my signature, as they enjoy their adventure!  You will end up with photos that will fill your heart for years to come.

how it works

1. Planning your session

Send me a message via my contact page so we confirm a date and time for your session, and discuss the details. From there, we’ll pick a location that works best and start preparing for the day of the photoshoot.

2. Session day

I recommend arriving 10 minutes early to allow your dog time to sniff and scope out the scene.  .   We will keep safety our top priority while having fun in a great location!

3. Viewing your images

Your images will be hand-edited in my signature style.  About 1-2 weeks after the session, we will meet in person at my home  or on Zoom to view and select your images.  I will guide you through choosing the best artwork options to compliment your home and that will serve as treasured heirlooms.

4. Delivery and your gallery

You will be able to download your images onto your computer.  I will also provide you with a phone app so that you can easily access your photos on your phone.   Any artwork you order can be delivered to you or you may choose to pick it up.

Preparing for your session

Sessions always  work best when you know what to do ahead of time. Here are a few tips to help things feel relaxed and stress-free.

  • Use a collar and leash, but take off any harnesses during the session
  • Bring water/bowl, treats, favorite toy and a small towel
  • Give yourself extra time before the session so things feel relaxed
  • Don’t stress if your dog isn't listening.  I have tricks for that!
  • Let me know ahead of time of any mobility issues
  • Don’t worry about posing or perfection, I’ll guide you throughout the session
